Bradley Jackson Levitt Jr. is an American actor. Levitt is the only son of Academy Award-winning actor-director Bradley Levitt and his wife, actress Jessica Jeffries. He is most well known for his leading role of vampire Edward Cullen in the film adaptations of the Twilight novels by Stephenie Meyer, which consisted of five films between 2008 and 2012 that combined grossed over $3.3 billion in worldwide receipts. Twilight brought Levitt worldwide fame of his own and established him among the highest paid and most bankable actors in Hollywood.
Levitt was born in Beverly Hills, California. He's the youngest child and only son of actor-director Bradley Levitt and actress Jessica Jeffries. Levitt has two older sisters, Melissa and Anna. He attended the University of Southern California for two years as an undeclared major and dropped out during his sophomore year. "I was pretty aimless, I didn't have any direction. I was just wasting everyone's time being there," Levitt later admitted in an interview to GQ Magazine.
Levitt cites his father as his career inspiration, and owes his start almost directly to him with a small role in a film he directed, Flags of our Fathers. He appeared in another small role in one of his father's films two years later, Gran Torino. Later in 2006, Levitt played a younger version of Dito Montiel in the film A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. In 2007's Alpha Dog, Levitt portrays Keith Stratten alongside Emile Hirsch, Justin Timberlake and Ben Foster.

Levitt married actress Rebekah Wright in 2004. At the time that Twilight premiered, there was wild speculation that there was a growing relationship between Levitt and costar Gretchen ??, causing a distruption to his marriage. Despite still being seen with Wright almost constantly, and Levitt dodging the question repeatedly, he confirmed in a short press release in November of 2008 that the pair had officially divorced but that no infidelity had been involved. Even with the objection, rumors of a relationship with ?? continued to persist. Levitt and Wright have remained close in the years since, with Levitt telling Esquire Magazine in a 2012 interview, "Look, you don't have to get it. Sometimes I don't even get it. But there's only one Rebekah and I can't imagine my life without her. I don't even want to." Documents filed in California show that Levitt is the one that filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause, though Levitt has never publicly disclosed what those differences were.
